Published in advance of the 2022 Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference, to be held 1-26 August 2022, this briefing book provides an overview of critical issues and offers recommendations to governments for the Review Conference and beyond.

It offers a guide to understanding the Non-Proliferation Treaty, and examines issues related to the modernisation of nuclear weapons, nuclear doctrines and transparency, risks and consequences of nuclear weapons and nuclear energy, nuclear disarmament, nuclear non-proliferation, the Middle East weapon of mass destruction free zone, AUKUS and nuclear submaries, and feminist perspectives on gender and nuclear weapons.
