More than 90 civil society groups deliver joint statement to NPT states parties
On 10 January 2022, a joint statement endorsed by more than 90 civil society groups worldwide was delivered to the states parties of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). The statement built on the statement delivered in 2020, when the NPT's Tenth Review Conference was first postponed. It was being readied for delivery at the Review Conference, which had been rescheduled for January 2022 and is now postponed again. Civil society has proceeded to share the statement directly with NPT states parties and other relevant actors.
The statement highlights three key messages for states parties to consider at the 10th NPT Review Conference and offers more extensive policy analysis and recommendations.
