Stop the arms fair, stop the war profiteering

From 9-11 September 2017, the United Kingdom will host the world's largest arms fair, DSEI (Defence and Security Equipment International). Arms dealers and war profiteers from all over the world will gather to review and purchase the latest technologies of violence. A biennial event, this year it is occurring the week before the third conference of states parties to the Arms Trade Treaty - the world's first treaty that regulates international transfers of weapons. But many of the ATT's states parties will be at the arms fair just the week before.

Activists will be gathering in London from 4-11 September to Stop the Arms Fair. They will be blockading the road to prevent weapons from reaching the exhibition site, creating art and other creative street demonstrations, and sharing knowledge and information about the international arms trade. For more information about the daily events, check out https://www.stopthearmsfair.org.uk/. You can also follow along on Twitter with @StopTheArmsFair and @CAATuk with the hashtag #StopDSEI.

More information about the Arms Trade Treaty is available on our website. Reaching Critical Will is going to be providing daily coverage of the upcoming conference of states parties with our ATT Monitor - be sure to subscribe to receive it by email starting next week: http://bit.ly/U6SDYv!
