New publication: 2024 NPT Briefing Book

Ahead of the 2024 Non-Proliferation Treaty Preparatory Committee, Reaching Critical Will published an updated NPT Briefing Book that provides an overview of critical issues and offers recommendations to governments for the PrepCom and beyond. It provides information on the Treaty and a brief history of past review cycles, and covers topics such as nuclear disarmament; the humanitarian impacts of nuclear weapons; nuclear weapon modernisation and spending; doctrines, transparency, and nuclear sharing; nuclear threats and risks; non-proliferation; the Middle East weapon of mass destruction free zone; AUKUS and nuclear submarines; nuclear energy; and gender and intersectionality.
