UN General Assembly begins high-level exchange of views

On Tuesday, 20 September 2022, the 77th Session of the UN General Assembly began its high-level general debate, during which heads of state and government, foreign ministers, and other government officials deliver their positions on key issues. During the debate, Reaching Critical Will maintains a country-based index that extracts all references to issues related to weapons and militarism. This provides a snapshot of government positions on disarmament for the year ahead. The general debate is scheduled to continue until 26 September 2022.
