Arms Trade Treaty convenes fifth conference of states parties in Geneva

From 26 to 30 August, states parties and signatories to the Arms Trade Treaty are in Geneva for the Fifth Conference of States Parties. The theme of this year's CSP is on gender and gender-violence, issues that are close to WILPF's heart. WILPF lead the activist campaign to ensure the ATT included a legally binding provision to prevent weapons from being transferred if there is a risk they would be used to facilitate or commit gender-based violence. We have since produced many resources on this and highlight the experiences and expertise of our members around the world.
