16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence
The 2012 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence Campaign, hosted by the Rutgers School of Arts and Science’s Centre for Women’s Global Leadership (CWGL), marks the third year of advocacy on the intersections of gender-based violence and militarism.
The start and end dates of the Campaign are 25 November, International Day for the Elimination of Gender-Based Violence, and 10 December, Human Rights Day.
WILPF and this year’s campaign
Last year, we had a historic participation by WILPF Sections in the Campaign. And this year we are of course participating again, on the international and national levels.
WILPF International organized a 16 Days Blog Campaign. Each day it published a new post in the WILPF Journal, taking a close-up of one of the campaign’s three themes. WILPF Sections also took actions at the local and national levels.
